We wish to remind everyone that The Cannington Lions' Canada Day Festival is a fun family event.  It is a day for us all to gather in a spirit of community, friendship, and fun to celebrate the birthday of the greatest country on earth.  The Cannington Lions Club designates this event as a "political free zone".  We ask everyone to leave partisan politics and political centered protest at home and join us in friendship and community spirit.  We also respectfully ask that anyone wishing to campaign or conduct similar political activities do so outside of MacLeod Park during the day.

Thank you.

Sponsorship

2026 Sponsor Package

SPONSORS ARE KEY

Our annual Canada Day Festival and Car Show simply can't take place without our sponsor partners.

Sponsors make it possible for the public to enjoy a free day of activities and excitement where the only cost is for food and beverage (except for specified games where prizes are awarded).

This year represents an increased challenge for our event.  Our fireworks budget alone has doubled due to supplier availability and demand.

We appreciate our many corporate and community sponsors.  If you are interested in sponsoring Canada Day there are many ways to do it.  Check out our sponsorship package for details and help us make this year's event another great one.

We have a level of sponsorship that can suit any budget.  Whether you wish to apply to one of the monetary sponsors or provide in-kind support, there are various opportunities for involvement.

Please note that some sponsorship levels will require you to contact us ASAP so that your logo and name can be included on promotional materials which start going out before the event.

If you have any questions at all feel free to reach out to our sponsorship coordinator:
Walter Schummer

Full Disclosure

Our club and organizing committee believes in full disclosure to the public and our sponsors.  Following this year's event our sponsors will receive a full accounting of the events financial results.

The Cannington Lions Canada Day Festival & Car Show is not a fundraiser for our club.  The event is put on by our club as Community Service to celebrate our nation's birthday and bring the people of Cannington and surrounding areas together in celebration.  Any surpluses from a given year's event will either roll froward to a future Canada Day or be used to cover deficits from prior events.

An event like this is not an easy thing to put on let alone fund.  The following is the budget of costs for this year's event:

Our Canada Day festival and car show has an operating budget for 2026 of $45,658 (excluding food and beverage costs).  It's only with the valued support of sponsors can our costs be covered to make this a free event for all attendees.
